Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the CourtFuel mobile app ("CourtFuel", "the app"), operated by the CourtFuel team ("we", "us"). By using CourtFuel, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use CourtFuel. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms on your behalf.

What CourtFuel is (and isn't)

CourtFuel is a basketball-focused nutrition tracking app that uses AI to score meals and generate weekly meal plans for athletes.

CourtFuel is not medical advice. The scores, recommendations, and meal plans provided are general guidance based on basketball performance considerations. They are not a substitute for advice from a registered dietitian, doctor, or qualified sports nutritionist. If you have specific dietary requirements, medical conditions, allergies, or eating concerns, consult a qualified professional before changing your nutrition.

The nutritional analysis is generated by an AI vision model and may contain inaccuracies. Do not rely on CourtFuel as your sole source of nutrition information.

Subscriptions

CourtFuel offers a free tier (2 meal scans per day) and a Pro subscription that unlocks unlimited scans, weekly meal plans, and other features.

Pricing: $4.99 per month or $24.99 per year (USD or local equivalent set by Apple). New subscribers to the monthly plan may be eligible for a 3-day free trial; after the trial the subscription automatically renews at $4.99/month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the trial period.

Billing: Subscriptions are managed by Apple through your Apple ID. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.

Refunds: Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. We are not able to issue refunds directly.

Acceptable use

When using CourtFuel, you agree not to:

Use the app for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the app's source code
Misuse the meal scan feature to submit content that is not food (we may rate-limit or block accounts that abuse the service)
Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app's content or output
Use automated systems to interact with the app or its underlying APIs

Your content

You retain ownership of meal photos you scan and any other content you add to the app. By using the scan feature, you grant us a limited licence to process your photos through our AI provider (Anthropic) for the purpose of generating your nutrition analysis. We do not use your content to train any AI model.

Intellectual property

CourtFuel, its name, logo, design, and all related materials are owned by CourtFuel. You may not copy or reproduce them without permission.

Disclaimer of warranties

CourtFuel is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that nutritional information will be perfectly accurate. AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of CourtFuel, including but not limited to health outcomes, missed performance goals, or financial loss. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in subscriptions in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be communicated within the app. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance of the new Terms.

Termination

You may stop using CourtFuel at any time by deleting your account in-app or uninstalling. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for users who violate these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
